sonoro dei SONIC ASSASSIN colpisce dritto al cuore.
Nati dalle ceneri di due leggendarie cult-band internazionali degli anni ’90, gli A-10 e gli Yage, e dall’incontro con il cantante francese J.P "Rauky" Molinier (ex
leader dei transalpini Tabasko, oggi dei Little Green Fairy), i SONIC ASSASSIN
rappresentano l’anello di congiunzione tra l’esplosivo rock’n’roll australiano e
quello della Motor City.
Ed è proprio sull’asse Sydney-Detroit che si colloca il sound della band: Radio-
Birdman, Celibate Rifles, Sonic’s Rendezvous Band, Stooges sono i numi tutelari
di una formazione dirompente in studio e, soprattutto, dal vivo.
Non è un caso se SCOTT MORGAN (leggendario cantante/chitarrista della Sonic’s Rendezvous Band, e oggi dei grandissimi The Hydromatics) li abbia voluti come backing-band nel suo tour europeo del 2001 assieme ad un’altra
leggenda vivente de’ll hi-energy rock’n’roll: DENIZ TEK (Radio Birdman).
Da allora i SONIC ASSASSIN hanno preso il volo. Il loro debut-album, "State
is Enemy forever"(Freakshow, 2002) ha ricevuto rencensioni entusiastiche in
tutta Europa e la band è piu volte andata in tour in Italia, Francia e Spagna.
Il disco contiene 14 canzoni dal grande impatto emotivo, incluso cinque cover
mozzafiato "rubate" al songbook di Radio Birdman, Dead boys, Lipstick Killers
e Beast of Bourbon.
Recentemente i SONIC ASSASSIN sono stati protagonisti di un tour/reading con
lo scrittore Cristiano Armati (autore del romanzo "Roma Criminale" e hanno
terminato le registrazioni del secondo album, "Downfall of Aces", in attesa di
pubblicazione.
