The Thing With Two Heads (aka The Sonic Chicken 2) is the most savage, crude and funky DJ tag team anywhere in the world. Comprised of husband and wife disc jockeys Bazooka Joe (aka Joe Diddley) and XTINE16 (aka Sweet Little Sixteen), The Thing With Two Heads are well established in the world of primitive rock'n'roll. Having had residencies in New York City with gigs in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, St. Louis, Reno, Boston, Washington D.C. and Baltimore under their collective belt, this torrid tag-team has also spun their wares at some of the world's top garage rock shows featuring such seminal acts as the A-Bones, Action Swingers, Black Lips, Cheater Slicks, King Khan & BBQ Show, Little Killers, Reigning Sound, Sonic Chicken 4, Swingin' Neckbreakers and many others, as well as showcases for legendary trash-rock labels Crypt Records and Norton Records.
So what exactly is it that makes The Thing With Two Heads so goddamned good? After all, they're just DJ's, right? I guess, if all DJ's entire collections were comprised of 100% top-shelf vinyl records running the gamut of party music from the mid-50's through late-60's (*detailed list below), and then tapered off (to avoid the drek) until the punk rock explosion of the mid 70's and continued on to contain obscure noise-garage records that just came out last week. Imagine all this sound and style under the direction of a wildly gyrating two-headed beast that prides itself on it's distinctive programming and ability to distinguish the musical slouchers from the uncontrollable shakers.
Having recently relocated to Central PA from New York City, The Thing With Two Heads is on a mission to provide the area with depraved and lascivious dance floor action, knowledge and understanding of what is funky, soulful, stylish and above all, sunglasses-after-dark cool. They lay down the kind of swinging action unobtainable from run-of-the-mill trend following DJ's that have to rely on their "skills" to try and make insipid club records sound interesting. The Thing With Two Heads’ records speak for themselves, and they speak LOUD.
