From the states of Kentucky and Indiana come Sonic Epitaph. Melodic and dark, technical and engaging, the female-fronted sextet smashes genre lines and transcends convention. Carving a niche all their own, they've been providing American made "Symphonic Metal" to the Kentuckiana area since 2006. Beyond the solidification of their lineup, the band has consistently set a very high standard for live performance, delivering a theatrical show full of intensity and emotion. However, their goal ultimately is to compose music for the film, television, and gaming industries, especially in the fantasy, sci-fi, and horror genres. In the meantime, the band continues to happily entertain on the regional level and is presently working on their first self recorded/produced full length CD. "Carnival of the Dead" will be released in January of 2010, containing 10 of the groups newest songs.

Long ago, an old wolf came to that time when his life on earth could last no longer. "My people," he said, "You can follow in my footsteps when the time comes for you to join me in the skyland." He left the earth, climbing higher and higher, and each place he stepped the sky filled with stars.
Shunk man-i-tu tan-ka we call the wolves, the powerful spirits who look like dogs. When they climb the hills to lift their heads and sing toward that road of stars, their songs grow stronger as they join their voices.
Music gives people a voice that is uniquely theirs......... This can happen through an instrument or in the way that music helps people identify both simple and complex emotions........
