Sonicfrog is a guy who thinks he can play bass guitar and sing. He must be OK at it since he has not been fired from a band yet!
He currently plays in two bands; Acoustic Highway, located in Fresno CA where he currently lives, and RareForm, his long time band located far away in San Diego. He will drive the 348 miles to play in the gigs. That's what I call dedication..... or having no common sense.
Anyhoo, he has allowed me to included a few songs from previous bands for all to take a listen. He says he will be recording some of his songs as a solo project of sorts, as soon as he finds the time to do so, but he's kind of a lazy bastard, so don't hold your breath!.
Well, the next calendar gig is at Cabo Wabo on a school night, but i think i'm going to cancel it, given their legal and business errors as of late. Otherwise, we've got a valentines day show over at the Babylon (Avalon) Club.
Negro please, you have to talk to your home skillet patrick about mixing out your vocals, i like them (and i can hear them on the record, i think). I noticed you boosted the guitar on the straight up, but it sounds like ALL patrick now. But then again, maybe my guitar on that version was hard to hear anyways...it was a club fred recording...i thought you were gonna use the one from the pines 4th of july...my guitar is audible on that one. But i always played so quiet that my guitar hardly came through.
ok-- update... i'm living in san mateo until the end of may... then i'll likely be in santa barbara for june, july, and august... after that i'll probably go out to austin and albequeque for the fall/winter...
so now you know, and knowing is half the battle, and now you can get back to sitting on your thumbs and rotating...

can you fuck up video as well as you fuck up audio..? i need someone to "fix" the rest of the video i've got from the show i just posted--- though the trucktop bit was BY FAR the best thing we've got on video... hell, it's the best thing i've got on audio-- and i got a lot of that... speaking of random shit off the top of my head, why haven't any of you motherfuckers visited me in SF...? i'm only here until the end of may... you've got a free (or cheap, depending on how much i like you) place to crash 15 miles south of the city and a tour guide who has been here 7 weeks and has accidentally ridden the cable cars at least once in a drunken stupor...

Yo.... That comment about the $$ wasnt directly aimed at you. Dont think youre the first that i've had to send my goons after. I just have to think back to EVERY month at Studio 9 and $50 is no big deal compared to the $450 i had to try to get even a portion of every month...i just used the most recent experience as an example. Its tight for all of us...well for me at least. Jason is buying a new house and patrick buying hookers and cocaine, so i guess were the only poor ones. No harm done i hope. As far as hanging up the band, i dont know. I'd kinda like to record a single one of these days...but we'll see. I'm pretty much done with live playing altogether for a while. Best of luck in your other bands...call me and we'll do some recording.

i'd prefer playing a real club for NYE too, but being that all of us are SO out of the loop on gigging in that damned town AND considering that it's rather late in the game to be booking a decent NYE, we opted for the house party... the alternative was to play shooters or DJ's or something like that... bleh...
