For over 12 years Baltimore's Sonic Soul Productions has been a leading name in East Coast Nightlife; hosting weekly club nights, special events, and fashion shows at Baltimore and Washington DC's premier venues -- Sonar, 9:30 Club, Goodlove Bar, The Spot, Mosaic, Sky Lounge, Club Five, 1722, Fletchers, and The Ottobar.
Sonic Soul gained international acclaim in the early 90s with CLOUDWATCH, a roving all chill-out series of events hosted at art galleries, Johns Hopkins University, Center Stage, American Visionary Arts Museum, and underground warehouse spaces.
DJ LOVEGROVE won Baltimore's Best DJ in the Baltimore City Paper Reader's Poll (2001), and was named Best DJ by Baltimore Magazine (2002). ADAM AUBURN won the prestigious Traxsource.com international DJ Mix Competition (2006) and works with historic house imprint, Large Music. LG and Auburn have both played and produced impressive events not only in Baltimore, but from from LA to Miami, and back again.
In 2004, Sonic Soul found a home at MOSAIC. Until recently parting with their former 4 Market Place residence, DJs LOVEGROVE & ADAM AUBURN were the heart and soul behind Mosaic's creative vision, booking all talent, hosting Sonic Soul Saturdays (Twice Listed in SPIN Magazine's "101 Best Nights Out in America" -- May & July 2006), and holding down the decks with their signature sound as well as bringing in top tier artists such Dimitri from Paris, Tortured Soul, Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Kaskade, and much more.
Adam has now moved to LA, and LG will be re-starting The Sonic Social, a weekly Sonic Soul event that was previously held at a variety of Baltimore lounge venues. The new home for the Sonic Social is BEDROCK. The Social kicks off on June 20th.
With Adam moving to the west coast, LG will be welcoming in DJ Knowledge into the Sonic Soul family.
DJ Knowledge has played at various clubs in Baltimore and Florida, opening for DJ’s and bands such as The Brazillian Girls, Big In Japan, Nicodemus, Fort Knox Five, and many more… . He has been on the bill at festivals including Starscape and Gem & Jam featuring such artists as Dj Vadim & Bassnecter. He has held down a residency at the 13th Floor for five years, he has also had residencies at Sky Lounge and Mosaic playing 4 hour marathon sets. He’s honored and excited about joining forces with the legendary Sonic Soul family, and looking forward to the Friday night residency @ Bedrock with DJ Lovegrove which is just the start of things to come… .
