The Pitch
Robert's an Los Angeles native who's been in the music biz for 20 years, beginning with legendary indie label IRS records in 1987, working with artists such as R.E.M., The Buzzcocks, Concrete Blonde, Wall Of Voodoo, The Three O'Clock and more. He spent time at indie publishing giant, Bug Music, working with several stellar artists from Los Lobos to Willie Dixon. He moved to Virgin Music Publishing in 1990 to work with Jane's Addiction, Kill For Thrills and David Bowie.
Moore, soured by the major label experience relocated to greener pastures, Kansas City, to finish his degree in Broadcasting in 1992. He joined the NPR affiliate KCUR-FM in 1995 as a jazz programmer, creating Take Five. Robert went on to become their Assistant Program Director and Music Director, and is an Instructor in Liberal Arts at the Kansas City Art Institute. He is a consulatant for Yahoo! Music, programming their Indie Rock channel. Robert moved to the commercial end of the spectrum in 2007 taking Sonic Spectrum to 96.5 The Buzz in Kansas City and partners with www.PresentMagazine.com for the Official Sonic Spectrum podcast available every Friday.

Moore founded record label OxBlood Records in 2006 with former Frogpond drummer, Megan Hamilton. The label has released four solid offerings from Ghosty, American Catastrophe, The Pedaljets and the compilation, First Blood, showcasing the thriving Kansas City music scene.
