Welcome to the all news SONIC WORLDS MUSIC "FESTIVAL" page - following our successful SONIC WORLD FEST 2008. Last years went down so well, we decided to have another one. On board this year are the new directors, HARVEY BAINBRIDGE and STEVE DOG MILLS of Tubilah Dog. With both these highly esteemed figures on the Free Festival Circuit and in the recording world at the helm, you can be sure we will be true our vibe and bring you the best we can.

We aim to make 2009 a a bit brighter, to showcase more exciting new talent and bring back any acts you voted to see again. Always actively looking for the entertainment line up for future festivals. Submission as ever, are welcome, just mail us here and we'll sort it out from there. We like to make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to play, so we do our best to avoid duplicating any other festival line ups.

Working in the music industry showed that there was a demand for MORE music and MORE festivals, so Nemesis J set about arranging a select little music club which became the SONIC WORLD FESTIVAL in 2008, Now with Harvey and Steve Dog we are following the same format - Our intention has ALWAYS been to complement the existing festivals with the emphasis on Exclusivity, Accessibility, Affordability and The Autonomy of The Performers. We dont do stadium bands, we dont do greed. We believe the talented struggling artist deserves as much respect and cordiality from us as those lucky enough to have "made it". We like it when people who play for us get recognition. Thats what we are about.

As ever, we believe that no-one should profit from the work of the artists but the artists themselves. We encourage the artists to sell their own merchandise and recordings, and to retain the copyright to their own music, image and merchandise. We wont bring in or endorse anyone who wants "a piece" of the people who play for us, and wont stand for it if we catch anyone trying it on.

Sadly, there are folk in the world at present who see our little festival as some kind of threat to themselves.... to those folk we have this to say....

We dont want what you've got. We have our own thanks. We are proud of the ethical way we operate. If we sell enough tickets to have a bit left over, we will donate it to charity and book the venue for next year. If we dont, then we didnt come up with the goods. Simple as that

Use YOUR energy to make a difference to struggling musicians, make OUR EFFORTS COUNT - THEN MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC FESTIVALS!

In these profit driven times, our ethos often meets with incredulity and hostility, but we make no apologies. We want to make good music financially and geographically accessible for everyone. We work from the standpoint that we will do our best to safeguard the peformers, keep a safe and welcoming environment for the customers, and do it all for as little money as possible. No one makes money from the bands, not even us.

Having put the goodship SWF08 into dry space dock and abandoning a few profiteers along the way, we are finally out on the cosmic sea, steering towards the magical doorway on the horizon which leads to SWF09. We will be bringing you another sparkling collection this year. Watch out for us. We will be there to welcome you aboard. See you there!
