Sonny Babe & Albert Ray Band, la fusione di fresco entusiasmo ed esperienza.
La prima componente è data dalla coinvolgente armonica e dalla voce espressiva di Sonny Babe, giovane ma già da tempo dimostratasi all’altezza di grandi performance live; l'unica armonicista donna in Italia, una tra le poche in Europa!
La seconda componente riguarda Albert Ray and the Raymen (Albert Ray, chitarra e Voce, Max Lugli al basso e Lucien Solianì alla batteria), da vent’anni sui palchi di tutta Italia; Albert è da sempre portavoce dell’American Music con all’attivo due ottimi CD, entrambi positivamente recensiti dalla rivista “Chitarre”, ed un terzo in fase di produzione.
Repertorio di Blues, Texas Blues, Rock’n’Roll e Roots Music, e tutto ciò che può definirsi ”American Music”, dai brani di Bob Dylan, Creedence e Springsteen, al Country di Dwyght Yoakam e Johnny Cash.
La formazione della Band risale a Giugno del 2007. La Band ha anche partecipato a due importanti Festival Blues come il “Cento in Blues Festival", il 1° Settembre 2007 in provincia di Ferrara, come band d’apertura di Sugar Blue (armonicista già dei Rolling Stones e Frank Zappa), e il "Castel San Pietro in Blues Festival", il 1° Giugno 2008 in provincia di Bologna, insieme ad Ana Popovic, Snowy White (ex Pink Floyd), Berry McCabe (chitarrista di Van Morrison) e alla James Cotton Band.
La Band da giugno 2007 ad ottobre 2008 ha condotto una intensa attività live nei locali di tutto il Nord Italia e il 15 Febbraio 2008 è uscito il CD ufficiale, dal titolo “evil Live”, registrato dal vivo durante i concerti svolti tra Settembre e Novembre 2007.

Sonny Babe & Albert Ray Band is a special blend of freshness and experience.
The first component is the attractive harp and the expressive voice of Sonny Babe, young but since long time able of great live performance; the only woman harp player in Italy, one of the few in Europe!
The second component is Albert Ray and the Raymen (Albert Ray, voice and guitar, Max Lugli on bass and Lucien Solianì on drums), since twenty years on all Italian stages; Albert is for ever an American Music’s spokesman, with two CD positively reviewed from “Chitarre” magazine, and another one in production.
A set list of Blues, Texas Blues, Rock’n’Roll e Roots Music, and all American Music too, from Bob Dylan, Creedence and Springsteen, to Dwyght Yoakam e Johnny Cash Country songs.
Band formed in June 2007. They participated at two very important Italian Blues Festival, the “Cento in Blues Festival”, 1° September 2007 in Ferrara, opening band of Sugar Blue (Rolling Stones and Frank Zappa’s harp player), and the “Castel San Pietro in Blues Festival”, 1° June 2008 in Bologna, with Ana Popovic, Snowy White (ex Pink Floyd), Berry McCabe (Van Morrison guitarist) and the James Cotton Band.
From June 2007 to October 2008, the Band conducted a very intense live activity in the North Italy Clubs, and they released their official CD “evil Live” , on 2008, February 15th, live recorded during they concerts between September and November 2007.

L'Associazione Roots'n'Blues di Parma, organizzatrice del ROOTSWAY Roots'n'Blues & Food Festival ha vinto il prestigioso "Oscar del Blues" Internazionale !!! Il Keeping Blues Alive Awards 2009. Dopo questo NON potete perdervi la prossima edizione del Festival. Vi aspettiamo da metà Giugno a metà Luglio nella Bassa Parmense.
Sono considerate definitivamente CHIUSE le iscrizioni al Festival Pub Italia 2009 per la sola Regione SICILIA. Entro il 6 novembre p.v., sarà on line su questo sito la lista delle bands AMMESSE alle Selezioni Live Siciliane che inizieranno dal 19 novembre 2008 al MIKALSA in via Torremuzza, 27 – Palermo.
Si rende noto, inoltre, che su richiesta degli altri Direttori Artistici, per Tutte le altre regioni d’Italia la data ultima di iscrizione al Festival Pub Italia 2009 è stata PROROGATA al 30 novembre 2008.
