I've Been DJ'ing for the last 11 years. Gigged from India to Poland, played at festivals such as Glastonbury, Womad & Godskitchen UK. And currently host my own LIVE mix show on the BBC Asiannetwork > BBC.CO.UK/ASIANNETWORK/THEBHANGRAMIXTAPE

Having the best of both worlds is always a good idea especially when it comes to music. The U.K. is and still remains one of the best places to be to immerse yourself in music from all Genre's. I'm British Indian and was born and raised here. I grew up listening to Bollywood, Bhangra as well as Bowie, Queen, Prince, The Prodigy, along with all that was good in the world of dance music throughout the 90's and noughties. To say this has shaped my musical direction is an understatement.

When I was 17 I bought my first turntables, I kicked of a soundsystem with friend of mine playing as parties as and when we could get the gigs. At 19 I started DJ'ing at asian underground club night SHAANTI at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. This is where I nurtured my sound - House beats mixed with Bhangra. Looped, Cut & EQ'd to creating a live mix feel. I've played alongside the likes of Talvin Singh, Nitin Sawhney, Asian Dub Foundation, Robert Miles, Panjabi MC, Bobby Friction to name but a few.
Moved on from Shaanti after five fantastic years to DJ and promote my own club night, MishMash (2005) at the Boiler Room in Birmingham a night of broken beats, jackin house & the sounds of live tabla.
(Winner of Top Five Nights in the Midlands – Mixmag).

May 07 I won a nationwide competition to play alongside Eric Prydz at Godskitchen

June 2007 was all about radio my - weekly show on the BBC Asiannetwork. Called “The Bhangra Mixtape” going out every Saturday from 8-10pm. The 2 hour show takes Bhangra music on a journey mixing it with Hip Hop, Bassline, Funk, House & even D&B, but all the while keeping Bhangra in the mix, giving the sound a new dimension. The only show of it’s kind on any network.

Started production on new nightlife programme for Brit Asia TV - (sky844). See's me interviewing artists and travelling up and down the UK covering not only what's happening in the UK Asian club scene but also the UK clubbing scene as a whole. To help understanding of both camps. There's a whole clubbing world out there and it's right that an audience has not seen it understands it's there

I'm totaly delighted to show you a teaser to my upcoming video. An amazing artistical attack on your eyes. You will find this video in higher resolution on www.ben-zen-berg.com
Lean back, and listen the sounds used by bohemian underground to liberalize the soul of John Wayne. A perfidious construction of tunes, familiar with your tradition and memories, lull your conservative corset to open your mind.
Hi Sonnyji Greetings from Dhoad Gypsies From Rajasthan, great music, Dhoad Gypsies From Rajasthan is Touring in May UK and Womad for this year, hope to meet you on the routes keep in Touch rahis
