Looking Down The Barrel: 2006 The Year Of The Gun
The Godfather of Soul? ...Dead!
Saddam Hussein? …Dead!
The Crocodile Hunter? …CRIKEY! He’s Dead Too!
But we, the members of Son of a Gun, have persevered once again and have made it through another year.
The year that was 2006 saw the release of our first full length CD – Son of a Gun which can be purchased by clicking Here! We also filled out our triple guitar attack with the addition of guitarist Joe Pete. We were even in an episode of Trading Spaces (Yes, that Trading Spaces) that featured Andy’s wife and other members of The Philly Roller Girls. They probably had us on because we’re so lovable and wholesome. But most of the year was spent partying, writing new songs, playing out of town shows and expanding our widening fan base.
We’re spending the first part of 2007 in the studio recording the follow up to our eponymous debut – Son of a Gun. Don’t worry, we’ll be playing shows again in and around the city come spring.
In the meantime, here’s a little something to wet your whistle. It’s an article on us from a local music paper here in Philly called The Compendium.
So... Um... Yeah... That's about it for right now.

Bio
Spawning from the gutters of South Jersey, in the fall of 2004, Son of a Gun consists of 4 home bound outlaws whose opinions don't carry any weight past their TVs. Andy Vaughn on lead guitar, Joe Pete on Rythym/Lead guitar
Tommie Griggz on guitar and vocals, Johnny Hollywood on Bass and backing vocals, and Boner on battering rams.
Their southern style of 1%er rock n roll with a cross breed of 70's pre punk blows crowds away wherever they play. Though it's not only the music that the people come out for, it's also the show that they'll be talking about for the next month.
Fueled by alcohol, pain and scarred childhoods, Son of a Gun will be in your town, borrowing your equipment, sleeping on your floor and blowing the roof off every place they play.
Through similar trials and tribulations a new alliance was formed. Bonded by the knowingness of being a survivor, not only of the music scene but also of life, these 5 men pump out music that is as brutally honest and real as the experiences that inspire it.

Hi there Son Of A Gun first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
