I'm an adventurous guy, a sort of thrill seeker really, the type that does many of those things your mother told you not to do, things that civilized people label you a kid or a dare devil for doing (I am neither). I do them because they are fun, because being "normal" - you know, watching TV, going to bars every weekend, playing games, talking about sports - is just so damn boaring and pointless really. I do these things because the only time you truely know you are alive is when there is a chance (there always is) you could die, where your actions, and mostly only your actions decide and you know it. That is when you find out what you are made of.
Cave diving (yes, I find small, dark, water filled holes in the ground and then I go scuba diving in them - don't try this at home, it requires alot of training to do in any safe fashion) is the center of my life right now. I travel to Florida as ofter as I can manager a long weekend (every other month or so) to cave dive, and I spend many of the rest of my weekends in local lakes (I really just love being under water).

Installing the Primary Reel in JB

Portrait of an Info Addict
Racing my GT car (An 87' Supra, preped GT style - nothing left inside but a full chromoly cage, aluminum racing seat, home built dash/gauge cluster and a Haylon fire supression bottle with a stand alone ECU running the engine so it doesn't idle very well, but goes like a mad man on the track, the sort of car that looks like shit up close but is fast as hell on the track, the sort of car that car guys walk up to and go "Holy shit! There isn't anything left inside this car") is a close second to cave diving.
I also love to travel and I've seen some amazing places, but I detest touristy locations. In fact, I'd rather stay home than waste time in some small minded, lets make it look like they expect, sterile and plastic sort of characture locations. Most of the real world is both filthy and frightening in a raw other culture sort of way, and if you don't see that side of a place (the real side) then why bother going? I'm not going to waste my time.

Deco in Truk
Over the last year and a half I've become a bit of a shutter bug also. I'm mostly self taught (no classes any way, just lots of good advice from friends). I've taken a few decent shots in Truk, in Florida and even in a local lake. I'm a good example of why it is better to be lucky than good. Apperently, I'm now a published photographer. One of my photos is featuerd as the rear cover of the new PSAI dive log.
Socially, I am an introvert and I don't enjoy large social situations because I find myself staring blankly when people try to talk to me. I'm generally happier alone than with random people. But if you catch me one-on-one and I know you, I'm 100% comfortable.
