SON OF ERIC: Epiphany
Son of Eric is the name of Torok lead vocalist Bryan Erickson’s new band. Now that Torok the band Bryan fronted for the better part of 15 years is on a indefinite hiatus Son of Eric has become the main focus for Bryan musically. Son of Eric's debut full length CD is titled Epiphany and is slated for release on November 25th 2008 via Nightmare Records and Sugar Shack Records. For the recording of Epiphany along with handling the vocal parts Bryan is playing all of the rhythm guitars, bass guitar and all of the piano/synth parts. All of the drum tracks are played by veteran session drummer Greg Morrow. For this project guest lead guitar players are participating on each track. Mike Torok of Impaler and Torok fame plays the guitar solos on the tracks "Blind Man", "Good Bad Ugly" and "High Plains Drifter". Shrapnel Recording artist Todd Duane who by the way was recently rated the third fastest guitarist in the world by "Guitar World" magazine is featured on the tracks "The Truth", "Black Rain Falls" and "Born". John Lyell guitarist, composer & producer is featured on the track "Fierce". Matt Graunke from the band Menace is featured on the track "Lost & Never Found". For the live band Co-producer of Epiphany Mike Jezmer plays bass and his brother Mark Jezmer handles the drumming. Look for Son of Eric on the road later this winter. Stay tuned......
