About me: Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Jeff moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at age 16 and began writing songs. Before he was 21 he was already playing and singing for who ever would listen. Most of the time I was playing campfires, living rooms, porches or just anywhere anyone would listen. I slowly started to sing my songs and noticed a difference, people wanted to hear my songs. So I started playing them at bars, parties, or just drinking few out in the woods and playing from tail gate to tail gate. I started to build up the courage I needed to sing in front of big crowds. It didn't take long for people to see that I was starting to take things serious when I formed a southern rock band "Three Legged Dawg". Jeff was playing his original songs throughout the shows. Most of Jeff's time was spent on stage performing his own songs long after the regular band was through. Jeff cut most of his teeth playing at 3 and 4 in the morning at a place called Charlie's Night Life. Eventually Charlie started letting Jeff sit in with the band and things took off from there.
Jeff finally took his songs to the studio and with the help of producers Mike Rogers and Perry Richardson of the multi platinum group Firehouse, produced the Son Of The South CD. Jeff Edwards (singer/songwriter/acoustic guitar) is one of the best vocalist on the east coast! This was officially documented when he won Best Vocalist in the 2004 Battle of Bands sponsored by Red Line Sports.
Jeff has sparked the interest of several record labels in Nashville with his original songs and has played at the world famous Tooties Orchid Lounge in Nashville Tennessee over the past several years. Jeff has opened up for Tracy Byrd, The Kentucky Head Hunters, Molly Hachet, Ronnie McDowell, Confederate Railroad, and has headlined many events thoughout the South.
On July 5th, 2003 Jeff was diagnosed with Leukemia (cancer of the blood) which put his career on hold just as it was taking off. He had a bone marrow transplant (thanks to his sister, Laurie) Who without the courage to help out I would probably would not be here.In November of 2004 and has made a remarkable recovery. He is back in the studio and back on stage....and in Jeff's own words, "THANK THE GOOD LORD ABOVE AND THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE PRAYED FOR ME. YOU ARE THE REASON I AM HERE". In fact, Jeff wrote "I Believe in you" while he was receiving chemotherapy treatments at Duke University Medical Center.
Jeff wrote the lyrics and music to all the songs on the SON OF THE SOUTH CD. The Son of the South CD which is really demo work that he, Mike and Perry have been messing with and is still a work in progress. This poject is now stepping up and the songs and quality of the songs show it. The New CD's will be out soon.
I would like to thank the Lord for continuing to bless me each and every day with one more day. Thank you Lord for every second, every breath, every thing.
I would like to thank my family, for your moral support nd understanding of what and why I do what I do. With out you I'm nothing. I just hope one day I'll be able to make up for all the time and money that has been lost on this pipe dream. I would especially like To THANK Mom and Dad who have carried me up and down the road, help pay for meals, studio time, gave great advice, and probably spent more time with my family than I have, THANK YOU .

Singer , songwriter , guitar player, and just your average country boy. Who is thankfull to the Lord for one more day every day.I know what it's like to work hard. I was a beer man for 4 years and a milk man for 5 years. Before that I dug ditches for a living.Never at anytime at any job did I work less than 60-70 hrs. a week at the same time pickin and playing most every fri.and sat. night till 4 a.m. try that sometime after working 65hrs see how it goes.Cancer slowed me down in 2004-5 but the GOOD LORD has gotten me back on my feet an more determined to do what it is I'm here to do.I'm at myspace to network only.More songs will be available soon.
