Love playing rugby, listening to music, boozing and doing anything out in the Sun. Ideally my perfect day would be playing rubgy in Dubia or South Africa whilst listening to some "Dad Rock" compilation and having a load of ciders with a BBQ but that would just be stupid, and possible dangerous if done all at the same time. Including the above I love socialising (..but we all call it "going on the p1ss" dont we??). There is nothing better than going on Tour with my rugby team or an all-dayer in Cardiff is there? Especially when the sun is out and the six nations are happening or if there is some sort of gig happening in the stadium. PS - this doesnt include the FA Cup by the way because thats now gone back to Wembley taking all its Puffballers with it. Go on Fcuk off the lot of you! ...Yeah you with the United shirt on, we all know your from Bognor you tw*t!
Music
Dad Rock generally (Led Zepp, AC/DC, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, The Who, Iggy Pop etc). Although enjoy the occasional blast of Indie and Dance. Its odd, i think it depends on the weather and what my plans for the day are. You know, the mood you're in and that sort of thing. Its usually loud and adrenaline pumping stuff. Rock on!
Movies
Apart from the obvious answer (c'mon everyone loves a bit of blue!) Cant really answer it. There are so many films out there I could watch a million times and still enjoy. Basically if a script is based on a true story or if it is some kind of underdog/inspiring story, chances are I will like it. Some that come to mind immediately are "Rocky", "BraveHeart" and the more recent flick "300
Television
"Fawlty Towers", "Only Fools and Horses" and "Hollyoaks". You've all seen those "Top 10 million comedy shows on TV" havent you? "Fawlty Towers" and "Only Fools.." always come either 1st or 2nd so thats why. "Hollyoaks" however, well have you seen it?? Nuff said!
Books
I like to read autobiographies mainly and I will only read at work and in the Sun. Im reading Peter Kays book at the moment, and its brilliant. Ive also read Vinnie Jones' book although that was mental. I dont have time to read otherwise. I wait for the films.
Hello. Chairman Jonathan Chief Stickler here... I am a here to talk to you - not about myself - but to tell you a little about the Cardiff, Wales, 7s Rugby Club, "SONS OF SEREVI RFC". We are a recently formed Cardiff based 7s rugby team. Founded by 7 'Original Sons' and coached by 2 qualified regular rugby players/coaches. The squad is ever growing and always looking to recruit more players. Being established in the Summer of 2006 we spent most of the summer travelling the UK and entering and participating in many tournaments and have rapidly become popular throughout the 7s scene, having a great time both on and off the field. As mentioned earlier, "SONS OF SEREVI RFC" were created in the summer of 2006, when a random suggestion at a local pub to create an amateur rugby team formed into something we could initially only just dream of! As the beer went down, the evening drew on, the ideas became more adventurous and we all thought it would be a one of those flash-in-the pan ideas....How wrong we were! With a mutual love of the game, an appreciation of Fijian Rugby, SONS OF SEREVI RFC arrived and the Rugby 7s squad was born.
Sons of Serevi RFC also have a mighty fine Touch Team which was formed at the same time as the 7s team in Summer 2006. Rather than having a separate team for Touch and 7s, the Touch Team is made up of the whole squad of Sons of Serevi RFC with players using the touch competitions to maintain their fitness and skills. The Touch competitions we competed in last year were held on the evenings of Monday night at St Peters RFC and Canton RFC, organised by the Cardiff Touch Assocaition and Touch Rugby Wales. The tournaments this year kick-off in May where the Cardiff Sons will be competing in a Thursday evening tournament, entering a mixed team featuring two Daughters of Serevi Kelly Southway and Claire Fahy who helped the Sons during last seasons competition. We are also currently aiming to set-up a Touch Team based in the London area. Under the command of Sons Captian Alex Mead and we are hoping to enter either a mixed or men's side into the Clapham League In2Touch which takes place on week nights from March onwards. Who I'd like to meet: Waisale Serevi --> Serevi? Who's he? Only the greatest sevens player ever. There are not enough adjectives to describe Waisale Serevi but magical is a good starting point. During this decade he has made sevens rugby his domain and has ruled over it with panache and pride. Waisale Tikoisolomoni Serevi, born 20 May 1968 in Suva, Fiji, is a Fijian rugby union footballer, noted for his skills in rugby sevens. However, he has also been capped 39 times for his country in the 15-man game and appeared another 27 times in non-cap matches. Rated as oe of the best sevens players ever, Serevi's record in sevens is peerless. With two Melrose Cups, five Hong Kong Sevens titles, three Hong Kong Sevens 'Most Valuable Player' awards, two silver medals in the Commonwealth Games and a World Games gold medal in 2001 his achievements are staggering. He is nicknamed 'The Wizard' in sevens rugby.
