Raw funk grooves, sweet soulful melodies and a twisted rock edge combine to create the distinctive sound of Sonsie Collective.
Since exploding onto the scene, Sonsie Collective have clocked up a number of reputable gigs including ABC2, Dublin Castle- Camden (headling slot), King Tuts (supporting AIM) and the Arches (club NME and supporting Poets of Rhythm).
As a five piece they incorporate drums (Alex Roddie), bass (Gavin Lawrie), guitar (Janis Hunter), sampling, keys (Conor Mason) and scorching soulful vocals (Faye Harmey) into what has become the infectious sound that is Sonsie Collective.
Their track, “Changing Times” (featured on their first EP) has appeared on a compilation CD for MOJO. They have since then had their track "Lay Down Your Guns" played on XFMs Jim Gellatly's Xposure show.
Sonsie Collective are sure to stamp their mark firmly on the music industry..

This will be the second coming of Christ. to Tronic, after his glorious appearance in the spring of 2007. Christ.'s talent for gliding intimate analogue synth sounds over delicate broken beats amid lush soundscapes and haunting vocal samples has established him as an Eno-esque downtempo master. Music beautifully simple and organic, very much outside the confines of modern electronica.
Like the prodigal son, Dextro returns to Glasgow in July to join Christ, Araya and The Lava Experiments in a night showcasing the best of Scottish electronic.
