Created on a trip to Romania by the founding sons, Jeff Stern, Evan Shyer, Ryan Geist and Phil Sherman, the Sons of Pitch have rapidly entered the limelight as GW's premier All-male Acappella ensemble. Their first year as a group they were awarded one of GW's prestigious accolades "Most popular student performance group," and the list of accomplishments has gone steadily upward since then. In 2006 SOP was named GW'S Best A Cappella group on campus. The group remains true to their roots to this day, striving to perform a barbershop style song at every concert they perform in. However their repertoire is significantly more modern, with arrangements of songs by groups like The Goo Goo Dolls, Rascall Flatts, the Barenaked Ladies, Kool and the Gang, Billy Joel, and many more.
