   About Sons of the Apocalypse
Wigan meets Wonthaggi. We are a 2 piece band based nowhere in particular though currently residing in Melbourne, Australia. The last months have been spent gigging and working fucking hard producing our debut self-titled album. Our album was recorded in december at Complex studios, Melbourne, by Roman Koester and mastered at Crystal by Jo Carra both of whom deserve a huge thanx. We have a few more gigs in Melbourne in January, a holiday in Asia then we will be landing on UK shores in July for a tour in the UK and Europe over the summer. Hx:In Jan 2004, after a year or so of hanging around South East Asia and Australia and playing with a mixed bag of different musicians from all over the place (Thailand, Laos, Australia, Sudan, Uk, France, Spain, Israel, Germany Etc) Johnny rocked up in Melbourne looking for a place to crash and a drummer. Luckily enough, on the first night, he met Rients at a party, who had a place to live, a place to practise and thankfully was a drummer. Rients has been playing in various bands (US, foenetic, Foreign Birds, Kassandra Complex) on the Melbourne scene for the last ten years or so. After numerous lineup changes, we decided that everything was easier and much more interesting as a 2 piece and so Sons of the Apocalypse sprang forth with all new material.
