After a telephone conversation about music, Emmanuel decided to begin sending songs recorded on a tape recorder via the mail from L.A. to Tacoma, WA, where his brother Juan was living. Juan did the same thing from Washington. The first songs turned out to be rainy little ballads that were allegedly magically altered during their route of travel. Juan decided to relocate to his native Los Angeles and instantly the two brothers went on tour. Actually it was more like road trip, and due to lack of funds they slept in very remote yet free campgrounds, with an occasional luxurious KOA. The tour also lacked booked shows, but certain campgrounds were filled with music lovers. After playing mostly for bears, lions, tigers, and nomads they reached Central Washington, where they went on to headline a jam session at comfort station 6 in the campgrounds of the Gorge. After returning from their first tour, which took a similar route of travel as the first group of songs did through the U.S. mail system, they joined with long time friend and musician Roger Moreau to begin writing music. Later, they hooked up with bassist Brian Morla. Today they continue to nurture a distinct sound as they perform in bars, clubs, and quinceaneras across Los Angeles.
