Interests

  • General

Hanging out with my son, WRITING, playing music, learning, conceptualizing, helping people, drawing, camping, thinking, staring blankly directly at the sun, lawn tractor racing, painting custom murals, dancing, karaoke, working on any American car that's older than me, building stuff, etc...

  • Music

Anything really. My iTunes is disturbingly diverse. Here's just a few of my favorites... the order in which they are placed (in case you're wondering) is:
Classical (for good background music whilst surfing my page)
Classic Rock/Oldies (for those older viewers out there)
Celtic/Folk (to show props to my ancestors)
Rap (for those accustomed to a pounding beatline)
Alternative (for those who are rebellious in nature)
Pop (for those children who might clamber to my page upon my almost certain discovery)
Dancehall/Techno (for those who just can't pull themselves out of the rave scene)
    Country (for my mud-boggin' buddies)
    and
Underground (for those who can't stand the mainstream stuff)
    Enjoy!

  • Movies

I like "Guy Movies" like Bloodsport, Fight Club, Jarhead, Black Hawk Down, I Am Legend, and all the Godfather movies.
  • Television

C.S.I., Gilmore Girls, Survivorman, MythBusters, Holmes On Homes, Trading Spaces, anything on the History, Discovery, or Science Channels...
  • Books

I have my head buried in H.G. Wells "When The Sleeper Wakes". I love the old classics...
  • Heroes

    Pronunciation [heer-oh]
–noun, plural -roes; for 5. also -ros.
    1. a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.
    2. a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal.
    3. the principal male character in a story, play, film, etc.
    4. Classical Mythology.
    a. a being of godlike prowess and beneficence who often came to be honored as a divinity.
    b. (in the Homeric period) a warrior-chieftain of special strength, courage, or ability.
    c. (in later antiquity) an immortal being; demigod.
    5. the bread or roll used in making a hero sandwich.

The ingenious people who thought to put word meanings all in one book for reference usable by all manner of people prone to misspellings and grammatical errors.

My 3rd and 6th grade teacher, Ms. Myatt from Hayfield Elementary School in Alexandria, VA. She taught me that being different isn't a bad thing, to jump into anything I enjoy with gusto, being the closest thing I would ever know to a decent parent, and for helping me through a school system in which I would otherwise be overlooked. I have no idea where she is right now, but I will thank her everyday for the rest of my life for teaching me the basics of human decency.

About me:

I'm 26.
I'm currently writing a fantasy novel.
My hair is blonde, my eyes are green, and my wit is sharp (and sometimes pointy...)
I'd love to move to Nova Scotia. Anyone want to help?
I've always wanted a telescope or a metal detector.
I'm kind of geeky.
I get distracted by shiny things.
I sculpt better than I draw.
I'm a little nutty, but loveable...
I'm a tomboy at heart.

.. ..

Who I'd like to meet:

Whoever happens to live on any of the more than 400 habitable planets in our solar system (as long as they're nice).
Anyone who has an interest in fantasy novels or writing.
Anyone I was friends with in High School.
A nice guy, who likes me the way I am, can hold a conversation without bringing up sex, and won't take advantage of me or beat me up (which is apparently becoming hard to find, honestly).
