Blurbs

About me:

"Of the three short films, Dim Smoking Girls was outstanding, a young filmmaker with considerable talent." IndyMedia, Beyond TV Festival 2007

"I am impressed by the sharp voice, witty and metaphorical turn of phrase and edgy atmospheres of this collection [of short fiction]... what characterful and colourful writing."

"This poet articulates her impressions and feelings in a wryly ironic tone of energetic repartee, a women's voice speaking in and out of the smoky, beery space of bars and nightclubs, where she encounters men and women off-duty and often bent on betraying themselves and others... The writer is adept with a taut, curt and short line, laconic and often barbed."

Dr Stevie Davies, Novelist.

"A talent for razor-sharp, satirical observation."

Nigel Jenkins, Poet

"A frank, well written and compelling memoir of a particular formative period in the writer's life...many of the darkest elements of the memoir are kept well beneath the surface, and skilfully expose that revealing all is often not the most effective means of 'writing the self', for this piece is far more haunting in its absences...and ends subtly and beautifully."

Fflur Dafydd, Novelist, Screenwriter, Pop Singer. Oxfam Emerging Writer of the Year 2009.

"one of whom is Susie Wild, and is a damned good writer, based on the thing that she wrote for Nu. So that’s nice."

- James Smythe, fellow Bright Young Thing at Parthian and general good guy.

    Hiya Suzy,

I hope everything is well and happy and lovely in your world.

I'm doing a turn at Laugharne again this year. They've asked me to do the merchandising again too. I need two people to help selling T-shirts at the venues and around the pubs in the town. The deal is accommodation, some pocket money and entry to the events. It will be hard work though.

Do you know anyone who might be interested?

    Hope to see you there.
