   About Sophia Santulli
Sophia Santulli is a multi-faceted vocalist currently performing and studying music in San Francisco. Her wide variety of musical ventures have included singing opera, oratorio, and art song, as well as lead vocals for Portland-based opera metal band Sophia Nox, back-up vocals for indie rock artists as part of the Magik*Magik Orchestra and Choir, and singing her own experimental electronic compositions. Further, Sophia is collaborating as a guest artist on Ladder's upcoming album. Sophia is currently working toward her Masters in Vocal Performance with a scholarship from San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is a student of Catherine Cook. Upcoming performances at the Conservatory include scenes as Lucretia in Britten's "The Rape of Lucretia" and Clara in Prokofiev's "Betrothal in a Monastery". Sophia recently sang the role of Goffredo in Handel’s "Rinaldo" under the baton of Corey Jamason, Third Lady in Mozart’s "The Magic Flute" and was a mezzo soloist in Handel's "Messiah". This past summer, Sophia traveled to Italy to sing the role of Third Lady for Tuscia Operafestival. In her hometown of Portland, Oregon, she presented Dominick Argento's Pulitzer Prize-winning song cycle "From the Diary of Virginia Woolf" for The Old Church concert series, and was also a principal soloist in Festa Italiana, held in Portland's Pioneer Square. Her favorite roles at Portland State University include Elmire in "Tartuffe", under the baton of the Met's Steven Crawford, Suora Zelatrice in "Suor Angelica", as well as scenes as Carmen from "Carmen", Hansel from "Hansel and Gretel", and Mother from "Amahl and the Night Visitors". Sophia was an Apprentice Artist at the 2007 Astoria Festival of Music, where she performed in scenes from "Manon", "Lakme", and "Beatrice et Benedict", directed by Dorothy Danner. Sophia has worked with such international talent as Jennifer Larmore, Martina Arroyo, and Tito Capobianco. She is also a featured soloist on the premiere English recording of Veljo Tormis' works, "On American Shores". Sophia is a recipient of the full-tuition Presidential Scholarship, Bruce Browne Scholarship, Ritz Music Scholarship, and was a winner of the 2007 Monday Musical Club Competition. Sophia graduated Magna Cum Laude from Portland State Honors College with a degree in music and theater.

haha I'm so out of it. Welcome home! How was the second audition? Anyways the current set up for girls night sucks for all of us because we don't see you, or much of you when you can make it. Should we change it from Thursday? Or next week we'll be closer to trinity instead of being across town... let me know what you think.
