Sophie Oliver is regarded as one of the most exciting DJs to emerge on the London scene in recent years. In an era of electronic dance music, where a growing number of producers have broken through and crossed over to the DJ circuit, Sophie has made a name for herself by simply rocking every club she has played at.
Since becoming the official tour dj for the legendary Wolfgang Flur formerly of the Techno pioneers Kraftwerk, Sophie now accompanies him on all of his European dates.
Sophie’s style is Underground Electronic House fused with Techno, distinctly laced with melodic bass lines and deep techy tones.
Sophies career spans the better part of the last decade, building invaluable experience back in 97
playing regularly for Serious at The Cross and Hanover Grand with the likes of Norman Jay, John Kelly and Anne Savage.
She has built her reputation holding her own alongside established artists like Kraftwerks Wolfgang Flur, Arthur Baker, Switch, Rocky (Xpress2), Mr C, Rob Mello, Colin Dale, and many of the new stars such as Williamz (Get Physical), Sian (Pokerflat), and Audiofly.
Recently playing at Germany’s Love Parade has been one of the highlights of 2007 as well as playing at clubs all around the world including USA, UAE, Germany, Spain, Turkey with Bulgaria and Austria lined up for December.
With her DJ profile on the rise, Sophie is investing more time in the studio alongside Peace Divisions Justin Drake, working on several new projects which have already recieved massive support from the likes of Audiofly being featured recently on their October Proton radio show.
Sophie's production style is deep and penetrating electronic house taking inspiration from the likes of Matthias Tanzamann, Samim, Gabriel Annanda, Gui Boratto, Mark Henning, Mike Shannon, Sweet n Candy and labels like Traum, Raum, Trapez and Kickboxer.
