Bonjour, my name is Sophie Laclichy, I am nineteen years old and from Paris. I am currently living in London in the North of the city and have been here for three months. My French friends often ask me why I live here when I am from one of the most wonderful parts of Paris (my parents have a house in Bastille very close to the Seine and also to the centre of the city). I tell them always the same thing. I love my city but I came to London because I want to learn the language and I had once a massive, how you say…crush…on a boy from London who I met on an exchange. He looked like Damon Albarn but he spoke like Vincent Gallo. I Love Vincent Gallo, his art is extraordinary and his simplicity so attractive. I love London though, it is an amazing place and while the food is a little strange for me I like very much the cosmopolitan nature it has.
I like music but mainly the old style of Sinatra and Tony Bennet, I think this is because of my father who was a huge fan. But I also like some hip-hop. I am also a big fan of French Films and my favourite actor is Daniel Auteuil and my favourite writer Albert Camus. He has an insight into absolutely everything and without question is the most important person in my life in terms of influence. If I ever meet anyone who feels the same way we have much to talk about. If not then…who knows?
