A melting pot of anything with heart, soul and loveliness that inspires spontaneous chair dancing. Oh where do you even begin with this one?! We have everything from CSS to Sly & the Family Stone, Shangri Las to Prince, Buzzcocks to Al Wilson.

    Nuala

plays lots of fantastic old soul classics, with a pinch of modern alternative and topped off with a side order of hip-hop and new wave. And then she'll throw one in that you just don't expect at all but you'll go "Oooooh!" and not leave for the loo even though you REALLY need to. And she's lovely =)

    The Billy Barty Kids

are the Boom Boom's very own in-house dancers. We bow before their radical interpretation of the jazz hand.

It's 1984 and The Billie Barry Kids are on the Late Late Christmas Toy Show Special. Gaybo "Aahs" adoringly to the side, as a chorus of squeaky clean Dublin 4 tots sing n' dance their way through a medley from "Annie" with the cheesiest plastic smiles this side of Miss World. On ugly brown couches across the country, kids with snotty noses growl at the telly and plot their revenge...

The Billy Barty Kids are grown ups who should know better but hey, it's payback time.
Taking their name from the diminutive Hollywood legend, they are giants in the field of dressing up and getting down in the name of giddy entertainment.

Their dance interpretations of everything from The Bangles to Outkast owe as much to the Top of the Pops dancers (circa 1982) as they do to Billie Barry, only this time you're allowed to laugh and your mam won't make you leave the room.

So push back the brown couch, put on your dancing wellies and prepare to let these living room legends give all the po faced stuff a damn good hiding.

Hello. Please do delete this comment if you so wish.

We're just making sure that everyone knows that our debut album 'Horses For Courses' is available to buy from our little record label's online shop:

    http://www.donttellclare.co.uk/shop.htm

Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.

International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.

Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.

    Lots of love

Hello to you my friend! My comment is to bring,to debate, issues I feel are very important, concerning the lisbon treaty.Below are a three videos.
The first is very short(3 min)and is of an MEP who sees the "Totalitarian nature of this treaty"

The second is a documentary called "The real face of the European Unio" which is very important as it outlines, once again by MEP's,"An unsettleing Agenda" from an EU that is "Rotten to the Core"
    ..
The Third is from a group of Irishmen. "End of Nations". It is an excellent documentary and it outlines the Lisbon treaty in full.Once again interviews with MEP's. Just be prepared to be a little shocked.

A bit late with me comment but I was waiting for the add and then Christmas came upon me, what with all it's drinking and socialising and staying velcroed to sofas the day after nights out. And food. So much food. So much weight gained and memories lost.

But anyway, I wanted to comment on the night I stumbled upon your DJ night at the Crane early December and wanted to say how much I enjoyed every second of it. How every song had a memory or an introduction to something new attached to it. How the effort made by some people in their dress made me feel like going out and purchasing a smoking jacket and a pair of chinese slippers and slicking me hair back and renaming myself Jarvis.

And even though the crowd that night was not rammed, those that were in attendance showed the diversity in society. From the poetic wheelchair people to the tracksuited breakdancer who looked as if he was expecting his Mam to show up at anytime and drag him off home and make him wear St Bernard labels as a punishment(he was me personal favourite).

And the cake and the hospitality that came with the cake and just the feeling that no matter how scummy the streets are outside, that there are youngies still able to enjoy themselves with music. And alcohol.
    And Cake!

Couldn't make January's night cos me mam went out and I had to babysit me dad. But roll on February. I migh actually buy that smoking jacket and chinese slipper and perv around the dancefloor like a Tory politician with a bag of viagra and a pair of Marigolds.

    Nice one people!
