Sorceress has risen from the fetid swamps of Brooklyn, to bring Rock N' Roll to the culture starved masses of America. Sorceress plays Rock N' Roll in the manner in which it was originally intended: as a form of popular music. With songs inspired by the ever-echoing chords of such hallowed deities as Eddie Cochran and Charlie Patton, Sorceress endeavors to combine that ancient twang with the flamboyant foot-stomping genius of early 70s British glitter in order to create a new popular noise.
Sorceress rejects the notion that the artist need be defined by their time. Instead, Sorceress demands that their time be defined by them and hence have refused to care about, consider or address in any way the notion that Rock N' Roll is dead or has been superseded by other, more commercially lucrative musical idioms.
Sorceress refuses to concede either that pop music need be passe, or that Rock N' Roll need be permanently a niche music ghetto. They have firmly rejected the arcane obscurantist formulas recommended by various glossy trade publications and have instead opted to use the familiarity of traditional song structures and pop music formats as the template on which to graft their strange vision.
Above all, Sorceress champions an egalitarian vision of Rock N' Roll unfettered; screaming, shouting, shuffling and boogie-ing like mad; accessible to all, zeitgeist be damned!

As always, DJ Honky and Mr. Robinson spin soul and funk 45s for the dancefloor before and after until 4am.
