Sordid formed in Sydney, Australia in 2003 from a common love of fast, brutal music, horror and gore. Featuring members of ex-Sydney bands Noisam, World on Welfare, Bastardos and Subversion as well as a bit of new blood on bass and vocals, we sweated day in and day out in a stinky spare bedroom for a year or so before someone unlocked the door, removed our shackles and gimp masks and let us out to play in front of people. The results of those rehearsals were picked up, recorded and released on Grindhead records as our debut album, Sordid Remains.
A new album with extra guitars from Shano (Roadside Burial, Blugeoner, Volatile) has been recorded and awaiting finishing touches.
