Sorry-Ok-Yes is an alternative-rock duo based in Milan (Italy).
Originally made of three members and based in Tuscany, the band was totally reformed after Davide Materazzi (guitar, vocals) kicked out the other two original members and relocated in Milan with new drummer Simone Ferrari.
Formed in 2007, Sorry-Ok-Yes has quickly become one of the most well known underground acts in Italy. Their music can be considered as mixture of modern rock styles, featuring spoken choruses and fast-paced guitar riffs that appeal to the casual listener and rock aficionado alike. The duoís close-knit musical relationship and seamless interplay is a result of performances at numerous venues throughout Europe and United States. Highlights include recent performances at South By Southwest (SXSW) opening for the legendary New York Dolls, Liverpool Soundcity Festival 2008 (along with Crystal Castles, Hot Club De Paris and The Wombats), The Cooler in Bristol, The Purple Turtle in Oxford, The Dublin Castle, Camden Barfly, Dirty Water Club in London, Dimmidisi in Rome, Australiano in Florence, Circolo Magnolia in Milan, Arteria in Bologna, and countless more.
The duo has been cited as "[a band that] updates The Kinks for the 21st century" by Dany Sloan of Exitfare website and has gained increasing attention, both nationally and abroad. Tracks from the group's CDs have been played on over fifty radio stations worldwide, including Mod Radio UK and Phoenix FM. Following the first two demotapes (both released digitally in 2007) the band's recording on WIT Records in 2008 - the single "I Just Want To Be a DJ" - was quickly sold-out.
Their newest EP, which is titled "Doing More With Less" is scheduled for release in April 2009. The recording is going to be comprised of 5 guitar driven original compositions that feature inventive lyrics and the modern, cohesive sound that Sorry-Ok-Yes has become known for.

Yooooooo!
