Like most things in music our band didn’t come together in a very organized fashion, everything was last minute, with preparations and rehearsals almost non-existent at the time of recording our first song. Simone McIntosh had auditioned for the recording time as a solo artist, and had recruited drummer and friend Chris Rogers to lay down the drum tracks for the recording only a day before the recording, seeing as he was available at the time. While rehearsing with Chris on the day of the recording Simone ran into a somewhat out-of-commission bass player Gordie Borg asking if he wanted to lay a bass track down. Despite not having played bass for a little under three years, Gordie agreed. Finally another chance encounter with Steve Dee, came when he entered the rehearsal to check his guitar gear in the room they were using. He agreed to lay down the lead guitar tracks for the song and from there the form of the band was made. After the recording Chris left the group to focus on his other band “Don’t Mention The War!”, and drumming talent Mario Avila was recruited to drive the part. After one jam session the outline of three songs were already done and ready to be polished, and Mario’s enthusiasm was beyond expectations, solidifying his part in the band.
