As the fable goes, in early 2004, Sos Valvo & Lynchy were rejected from their 3rd stint on Community Radio station SYN FM due to Lynchy’s inability to not mumble...and an addiction to Whizz Fizz. Ironically, in the same week, Valvo’s dad won a camera in a raffle and the Shambles TV show was born...but not out of a woman’s naughty bits....as that would be weird, and in all honesty - how would that even work?
Since premiering on C31 in Melbourne "The Shambles with Sos Valvo & Lynchy" has become one of C31’s highest rating programs and is now aired right across Australia (despite having a cast, writing team, camera crew, catering truck and whatever else of only three....which is probably why the show looks so terribly terribly cheap).
In June of 2005 the show recieved the ’Best Comedy’ and ’Best Director’ Awards at the 2nd Annual Antenna Awards, with the release of "Best of Series 1 & 2" released onto DVD a few short months later.
In 2006 the show returned for it’s third Series in Melbourne where it had the highest ratings spike of any show on the station (whatever that means...we like to think it’s something sexual or some kind of cool super power weopon) and featured guest cameos from the boys’ idols Russel Gilbert, Tony Martin and Shaun Micallef.
In October of 2006, the "Series 1&2" DVD became the first community TV show in history to be nominated for an ARIA AWARD [2006, Best Comedy Release] which enabled the boys to get drunker than they have ever been before.
November of 2006 was big as it saw the release of both the SERIES 3 DVD and the first ever SHAMBLES: GO LIVE stage shows.
2007 to 2009 Sos Valvo & Lynchy sell out at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and recieving rave reviews - including 2 "Whoopee Awards" (The Age Newspapers Comedy Festival Awards) for MOST LIKELY TO BE PICKED UP BY COMMERICIAL TV GONG and AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION GONG.
Here we go again. This is our third attempt at a MySpace - we really do suck at it big time! Friggin Americans!
For the uninitiated, we are Sos, Valvo and Lynchy - better known in Australia and one small part of America - as The Shambles. We do a fairly cheap little comedy show on Channel 31 across the nation (check your local guides cause we don't have a clue), and we're glad to have you aboard...until this gets deleted again!
We have alot of fun on the show, from making fun of old people - to making fun of fat people - to making fun of fat elderly people who are short and have no bladder control, I think we can safely say we cover the gammet of comedy.
And by gammet, we mean, we try to offend all people equally
So sit back, relax and enjoy the bevvy of clips from the show we will chuck on here - be sure to tune in occasionally - try and grab the DVD, download the podcasts, get your butts to the live shows, etc, etc (more self promotion...)
oh my 3 fave hotties, Sos (grow back the long hair), Valvo (oh sweet joy) & Lynchy (how could i not say ur name)...after all the years u guys have been on tele (i don't get TVS/ch31 anymore) what can i say but i'm just glad u guys have myspace coz otherwise how else would anyone get in touch with u all.

Hey guys....I know no one really uses MySpace any more, but whatever...it can be retro now.
I just wanted to say that I dug your show at the comedy fest this year. I know you weren't too impressed with it, the offering to give us tickets to 'later better shows' kinda gave it away...haha. But honestly, I had a sweet night...then celebrated my new-found 18ness by wasting my remaining money at the pokies.
Point is, you guys make me laugh. Thank you for that =]
you guys are hilarious! I went to the comfest for the first time ever this year. Your show was the first I saw and it was brilliant! Even though the crowd was small, you still did an awesome performance ^^
what is this briefly mentioned shambles 'origin series'? i want to know why the gardner whose afraid of trees....is afraid of trees in the first place.
