1996年、初期Dub Club等のイベントやレコードレーベル運営を主軸に、日本のRoots Reggaeシーンの繁栄を目標に掲げ、Tribe Worksとしての活動を開始。
その本拠地は1990年創業、当時から現在までリアルタイムかつ積極的にUK Modern Rootsを紹介し続けてきたReggae Record Shop「Orange Street」である。
国内外多数のプロデューサー、サウンドマン、アーティストとの交流、そして個々での活動を長年続けた後、2002年よりサウンドシステムの制作に取り掛かり始める。そして2008年長年の試行錯誤と拘りの末、サウンドシステム完成。
TRIBE WORKS SOUND SYSTEMとして活動が始まる。

2008年6月にNEW ROOSの本場ヨーロッパ、フランスのKINGSTON CONNEXIONの別レーベルTOKYO CONNEXIONの第１号アーティストとして7インチ‘Struggle’をリリース。
JAH SHAKAもプレイするなどEUのモダンルーツ界で大きな注目を集める。
2009年4月には待望の第2弾となる12インチ‘Hail Him’をドロップ！

2001年結成。生ダブバンド。
東京都内を中心に活動する8人編成のREGGAE BAND。
REVOLUTIONARIESやROOTS RADICSを彷彿とさせる、攻撃的かつ硬派なリズムセクションにメランコリックなメロディをのせ、インストゥルメンタルを中心に表現されるその音は、まさに現代のROCKERSと言えるのではないだろうか。
We orgnized in 2001.
This is "Live Dub" style reggae band in Tokyo, Japan.
"Live Dub" called "Nama Dub" in Japan.
Our sound is reminiscent of THE REVOLUTIONARIES or THE ROOTS RADICS.
It is Real "millitant beat" style.
The songs we plays are "Millitant beat" with "melancholic" melody.
On March 2007, We're release a new album called "Dawn".
and It will be the dawning of New Generation of Japanese DUB...
