The musical project Soul Emotion has been working since December 2006. The band’s musicians are: Lelde Barbane – great and talanted singer/songwriter, Janis Danevich – saxophones/manager, Rihards Fedotovs- drums, Norberts Skraucis – el.bass,Deniss Pashkevics-ten,sax,flute Normunds Piesis-trumpet, Paul Murashov – keyboards and Dj Aspirin – vinills/sampler. The leaders of the project Soul Emotion are: Janis Danevich and Lelde Barbane.
In year 2007/08 the band started to work on it’s first record at the studio Sounddivision with the producer Deniss Pashkevich, The album was oriented in Neo-Soul/Acidjazz and funk genre. The band’s creative inspiration came from such a great, well-known and talented musicians like: Stewie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Robert Glasper, Joshua Redman, Kenny Garrett, Fred Wesley, The Roots, Maceo Parker and many others. The band Soul Emotion has tried a lot of genres like Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rock, Soul, Funk, R & B, Blues – musically, there is not much the band hasn’t tried. The band had a tour in Baltic states, Scandinavia and other European countries. Soul Emotion had participated in such festivals: Visionjazz Festival 2006 (Estonia), Saulkrasti Jazz 2007 (Latvia), Rigas Ritmi 2008 (Latvia)
