I'm influenced by a wide variety of artists musical, visual, and conceptual. here are a few: Peaches, 80's Madonna, JEM and the holograms, Grace Jones, Prince, Wendy O Williams, Nina Simone, David Bowie, Kate Bush, Trent Reznor, Meredith Monk, John Cage, Purcell, Barber and the sexiest of all classical composer the czechs..you know who you are, Laurie Anderson, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Ute Lemper, Jazz in all it's forms--it's my muscial training ROOTS, L7, Angry Girl Bands of the late 80's early to mid 90's, Bands I adore, love, and respect, Heloise and The Savior Faire, Stink Mitt, Salem, Electrosexual, All the founders of Queercore, Queer activists, Vintage Keyboards, KEY-TARS!, mono-synths, sonic spacial contrast, minimalism (yes that is electronic blips with two hot men moaning over them), New Wave French Extremism from Sade all the way to my hero Catherine Breillat, Art House films, Warhol, little Joey your still HOT, Pornography, Burlesque, Strippers from all across the globe both male and female, Michael Turner and the FATHOM storyline--gives me EYE-GASMs, pagan imagery and spirituality, Yoga, Tantra, Cyber space, outer space, zombies, aliens, robots, and cavemen, boys with tattoos, piercings, and a moderate amount of body hair.

There are countless words to describe singer-songwriter Charlie Demos.
Vocalist. Lyricist. Pianist. Composer. Producer. Performer.
But the one word that sums him up the most is “Charlie.” With a purely astounding vocal range, the ambitious and prolific musician is able to fuse his natural affinity of soul and R&B with punchy electro-pop, creating a musical style that is clearly his own. Charlie is also an avid practitioner of performance art, which is inherent in his live shows. He also has a unique desire to be a sound designer, mixing and matching beats and sounds with an effort to produce the most interesting songs in his repertoire.
Originally from the “white-bread, suburban town” of Fairfield, Connecticut, the multi-talented artist grew up with an eclectic soundscape, including such influences as Kate Bush, Nina Simone,Stevie Wonder, Prince, Madonna, David Bowie, and traditional Greek and Arab Gypsy music. Charlie is a graduate of Bennington College's music school, where he studied with Tom Bogdan, Kitty Brazelton, and Bruce Williamson.
Since its release in March 2006, Charlie's debut album has had three chart-topping radio hits. "Don't Ever Stop," the album’s first single appeared in the highly-acclaimed film, "A Four Letter Word," which premiered in May 2007 at the Miami GLBT Film Festival. The 10-song debut album, written and arranged by Charlie with co-production from Grammy Award-winning producer, Tommy Faragher, has been described as "a smooth ride of jazzy R&B with catchy hooks and bluesy ballads."
With the release of his sophomore album, “How To Be A Boi,” Charlie has revolutionized the way we listen to pop music. By seamlessly mixing unique sounds and styles, with help from fearless producers such as Devon Perry and engineers like Faragher, the sonic bartender has concocted a new musical drink for those looking to have fun and dance, or relax and be inspired by strong-willed, witty lyrics.
Charlie proves that female musicians aren’t the only ones who can go by first name only. He's currently working on his third album, a double ep entitled "ANATOMY 1" due out in the summer of 09 and "Anatomy 2" due out in Winter 09! stay tuned!!
