Darwin Marcus was born on May 18, 1987 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He has graduated from the musical school where he majored in piano. By the age of fourteen Darwin started arranging music and writing songs himself. His favorite music styles were Soul, R&B, Rock and club music. Every single night the sound of Beatles was heard from the windows of Darwin’s bedroom, he couldn’t even sleep without music. The number of CDs on the shelves of his room has been increasing each day, still “Beatles” and “Queen” remained his favorites. It was the first album of Craig David “Born to do it”, appeared in 2000 that changed George’s musical direction and taste completely, he liked “Garage” and remixes by “Artful Dodger”
From the age of 10 he started to keep money for Yamaha together with his grandmother, lately he learned how to arrange music on the (Roland D-20) instrument and bought a new computer to record his tracks on protools . Now he plays on guitar, piano, drums and writes lyrics for his songs as well.
By the age of 16 Darwin began working in various studios and several albums has been appeared under his arrange. Then he started collaborating with various Radio stations and TV studios, where his several records and video clips appeared.
On 2008 Darwin Marcus became a participant of the most popular musical show “Star Academy”, where he has been selected from the number of 3000 participants. Being poplar doesn’t mean much to Darwin, according to his opinion after being professional and having faith one will become popular by all means.
