The Soul Generals have been James Brown's only band since the mid-80's after the JB's went solo. The Soul Generals are blessed to have a crew of talented seasoned professionals which includes Danny Ray who's been the MC for James Brown's team for over 40 years and Fred Thomas the original bass player for the JB's whose performed on countless hits by James Brown & the JB's over the last 35 years. James Brown's son Daryl Brown is the director and leader of the Soul Generals and is committed to keeping his father's soulful legacy going strong. James Brown's Daughter Venisha brown is part of the crew and does the James Brown like no other! The Soul Generals have circled the globe countless times backing the "Godfather of Soul" for over 20 years, earning the title of the"World's Funkest Band". With guest spots on the following TV shows: Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jonny Carson & Jay Leno; The Arsenio Hall Show, BET, Fox Morning Show, The Vicky Lawrence Show, The American Music Awards, Woodstock 99, The Roseanne Barr Show, The BET Music Awards and Live 8. The Soul Generals have performed for millions of fans around the world and also made guest appearances in following movies: RockyI4, The Tuxedo starring: Jackie Chan, Experience The Music Project-Dream Works, Soul Survivor and James Brown Live @ The House of Blues to name a few. The Soul Generals are honored to have performed and backed up the legendary James Brown and true "Godfather of Soul".
