We don’t claim to have all the answers but we are committed to finding them and we need your help.
What is SoulGenesis?: SoulGenesis is a media lifestyle company geared toward exposing and promoting socially conscious and responsible living to broader, more diverse audiences. SoulGenesis is ushering in a new social movement based upon these 4 fundamental elements: 1) Cultural enrichment, 2) Spiritual, mental and physical health, 3) Constructive thought and 4) Purposeful action.
Our Mission: Simply put, our mission is to spread love and help facilitate positive change. We know that there are amazing people out there who want to do more to help make this world a better place [for themselves, their families and the human race in general]. We want to help engage these changemakers by creating spaces and experiences that allow them to grow, connect, vibe and make magic happen.
The Science (Our Plan): First, we will attract the hippest, flyest, most forward-thinking change agents on the planet through high-quality, socially conscious music and other media. Then we will give them spaces and experiences online and offline to connect, galvanize, build community and create solutions. Through social networking with a purpose and driven by a community of committed change agents, we will create positivity, prosperity and peace. Just imagine what this type of infectious love feels like. Who can hate on that?
Why Music?: As one of the most powerful galvanizing forces, music has the ability to heal, unite, uplift and encourage people from all walks of life. From Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On, to Bob Marley’s Buffalo Soldier, to John Lennon’s Imagine and Public Enemy’s Fight the Power, music has played an integral role in virtually every major social movement of our time. Hip Hop, in particular, is central to SoulGenesis because it has served as the voice of formerly voiceless populations, has become not only a culture but a way of life, and arguably reaches a more diverse audience than any other genre of music. We are passionate about seeing music uplift and unite, not destroy and divide.
The Crew: Us, you plus everyone we know. Whether you’re a youth advocate, educator, parent, mentor, social entrepreneur or just someone that wants to see positive change, you are part of this crew. The beauty of the SoulGen family is that we know we can’t do this alone and we don’t want to.
The Butterfly: For us, the butterfly represents what SoulGen is about, growth, life and change. As works in progress, we strive to be like the butterfly, constantly engaged in the process of self and collective transformation.
If we had one arrogant admission, it would be that we’re overly confident that there are scores of individuals out there who want more. Want better. Want change. On this one, we would tell you not to bet against us. We refuse to lose. We KNOW we can do better. Let’s prove it together.
