About me:

Founded in 2005 by Michael Mappy Mappala, Soulidified Project is a company that promotes creativity and artistic ability. Its foundation is based on dance, music, photography and writing. Through this company, artists can improve their skills and share their talents with the greater community.

Through various projects, services and events, Soulidified Project hopes to bring more support and recognition to artists and promote an even bigger market for artists and performers, particularly in the Bay Area.

Soulidified Project began as an effort to present Mappy's work and offer the services of his creativity and skills. Attempting to focus on one of his talents to put forward, he found that his skills and passions were all intertwined, creating the Soulidified Project, the solidarity of his artistic abilities photography, dancing, music.

Mappy has since invited a team of creative friends to join him in his project. The staff has been hand-selected by Mappy to ensure the success of his mission to promote and share the arts.

As an artist who is constantly surrounded by creative minds, Mappy encourages the development, exposure and advancement of all artists.

Soulidified Project intends to share passion and expertise with the greater community by offering services of photography, dancing, music, writing, as well as putting on a variety of events.

DANCE COMPANY BIO:

Soulidified Project Dance Company was founded in 2008 by Michael “Mappy” Mappala.

Mappy first started Soulidified Project as just a relaxed and fun project. Many dancers came out to participate in the open rehearsals, and he started realizing the potential in front of him.

With this new breed of passionate dancers, Mappy was inspired to take on the task of turning this project into a dance company. Soulidified Project would be a company that promotes positivity and inspires creativity and expression.

Soulidified Project is rooted in SOUL, but encompasses many styles and genres of music and urban choreography. The soulful aspect of Soulidified Project comes from the soul, the raw emotion and expression that come through in performance.

Soulidified Project made their debut performance at World of Dance 2008, in a collaborative effort with Groove Movement from Southern California. They have had several other collaborative performances and Soulidified Project is looking forward to more performances and collaborations to come.

In addition to performing for the sake of expression and art, Soulidified Project also believes that expression should have a purpose. Whether it is to inspire positivity to the younger generations, or to encourage people to act on important issues, Soulidified Project promotes growth for the dance community and in general.
