Soul Intension: a heavy funk-rock band from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, dedicated to high energy, making their shows a party atmoshpere, and helping the local community while making people dance. Soul Intension's sound derives from the musical diversity of its members. Darren whose guitar style is melodic, hard, and technical, Zig who is a hip hop and funk junkie on the bass with vocal stylings representing more of the same, and Ricky whos hard core and punk background with a new found eclectic style on the pots and pans sets the perfect beat for Zig and Darren to lay tones of blues, funk, metal, punk, hip hop and just about anything else you can think of. Add that together with lyrics telling stories of wild nights, crazy experiences, love found and lost and you've got it. The chemistry between the three being great right from the start both musically and personally. We take our music very seriously but deliver it in a light-hearted fun way, too much music these days is sad and depressing, our goal is to make people forget about their problems and dance the night away. There are alot of great bands in the Eastern Panhandle's music scene, and people are finally starting to notice. So come out and support your local bands.
