Créé en 2005, le Soul Jah sound est un groupe d'amis qui a
grandi essentiellement sous l'influence de sound locaux comme
Irie Ites, One Vibe, Gorgon Mission, Broken Stick, Legal Shot, Soul Stereo, Heartical mais aussi de sound internationaux tels que Rodigan, Downbeat The Ruler, Killamanjaro, Stone Love, King Addies, Mighty Crown, Arrows Hi-Fi the Ambassador, King Sturgav, Volcano Hi-Fi Power, King Sturmars, Youth Promotion sound, Sir Coxsone, Saxon International, Channel One, Aba-Shanti I, Jah Shaka, Jah Tubby's, King Dragon, Iration Steppas, Fatman International... Leur influence musicale s'étend du ska au dancehall, en passant par le rock steady, le roots et le new roots ainsi que le Hip Hop mais avec surtout de grosses influences rub-a-dub, UK et early digital des années 80 et 90.
