About me: Marketing professional by day and the CEO of Soul at night.
My musical background includes jazz piano taught by John Mehegan. In my teens I was bitten by the bug of New York City discotheques and became friends with DJ Carl 'Superstar' Griffin. Carl mentored me and gave me my first nightclub DJ opportunities in Manhattan during the summer of 1972.
That opportunity launched a 25-year DJ career in nightclubs and mobile DJ companies from New York City to Tucson, AZ to San Francisco, CA. Always the fan of live music and friends of musicians, my passion for soul, funk and jazz has been ever present.
In 1997, my career shifted to marketing and web development. I served as webmaster for Tower of Power, among many other musical acts. As well, I partnered with Doc Kupka in the development of Strokeland Records over a 9-year period.
Who I'd like to meet: Bands and musicians, and their fans, from around the world that are interested in the perpetuation and perpetration of horn-driven soul, funk and jazz.

There is no age in history in which some dreamers have not dreamed of the conquest of the air; if the caveman had left records, these would without doubt have showed that he, too, dreamed this dream. The blending of fact and fancy which men call legend reached its fullest and richest expression in the golden age of Greece, and thus it is to Greek mythology that one must turn for the best form of any legend which foreshadows history. Yet the prevalence of legends regarding flight, existing in the records of practically every race, shows that this form of transit was a dream of many peoples--man always wanted to fly, and imagined means of flight.
