Soul Roots Sound System nasce a Roma nel febbraio 1998 dall'idea di quattro ragazzi.
La passione che ci accomuna è quella per il reggae, la musica che ci accompagna ogni giorno e che è la colonna sonora della nostra vita.
La nostra prima uscita è datata 13-6-98 (Carnevale di S.Lorenzo):
da quel giorno in poi non ci siamo più fermati fino ad arrivare, oggi, ad un sound che spara 5000 watt di vibrazioni positive.
La politica musicale all'inizio era rivolta al dance hall Roots style, il ragga è sopraggiunto dopo per arrivare ad un sound che emana vibes a 360 gradi.
Nel corso degli anni si sono uniti a noi altri tre ragazzi che hanno partecipato, in varie fasi al miglioramento del sound: in questi anni abbiamo fatto centinaia di dancehall ospitando molte crew e sound da tutta Italia e Europa, inoltre abbiamo suonato le nostre vibes in alcune delle yard più calde d'Italia ed anche in Amburgo (Gennaio 2004) ospiti del Kanga Roots Sound e Londra (in occasione del Notthing Hill Carnival 2007 e 2009) ospiti del Mighty Jah Observer Original Valve Sound, guadagnandoci l'appellativo di "Soul Roots bring back Sun!"
Nell'aprile 2003 nasce il sito internet: www.soulroots.com uno spazio autogestito per pubblicizzare la nostra attività e per darci la possibilità di farci conoscere meglio e di comunicare tra di noi e con chi ci segue tramite e-mail e chat!

Soul Roots first date was on 13-6-98 in Rome for Carnevale di S.Lorenzo party.
From that day on we never stop playing and today we reach a sound spreading several tousands watts of positive vibrations.
In the beginning music selections preferred dance hall Roots style, ragga came later to reach a sound playing every reggae music style. Going on other two guys have joined Soul Roots Sound bringing a radical sound improvement: all together we enjoy a lot of dancehalls sharing our dances with several crews and sound systems from Italy and Europe. In April 2003 this site born as an independent place where to show our activities and to share our passion with people by mail and chat!

Il Rasta di Malmoe si affaccia giovanissimo nella scena dei sound system svedesi, infuocandone le yard e soprattuto costruendo con la sua crew il proprio impianto. Incrocia il percorso con Linea di Massa nel 2007 circa e da allora è presentissimo nella selezione visti i molteplici suoi dubplate presenti nel dubbox LDM: in particolare il suo crucialissimo anthem "Jah Far-I" suonato ovunque dal sound romano, ha appena visto la pubblicazione in 7pollici su Lion Youths Music e molti altri vedranno la pubblicazione proprio in questo 2010. Versatile singer e dj nonchè humble 'n uplifted bredrin, è tempo di vederlo live & direct a Roma in esclusiva al microfono del sound resident della Kaliseum Dub Arena.
