We're very happy to announce U that Soul Secret will take part to Baltic Prog Fest 2009. We will play with such great bands as Shadowland, Kramer and Holding Pattern and finally it will be a great chance to see on stage our friend and lyrics composer Michele Serpico as lead singer.

Date: 24-25th July 2009.

Location: Arvydo sodyba (Arvydas' place), Valiukiškės village near Kernavė, Lithuania.

Soul Secret will support the historical English progressive rock band Pendragon in 2 shows. The first one is in Rome, at Stazione Birra and the second in Swizterland at the amazing Z7, in Pratteln.

Moreover, the band will complete the October tour with a final gig "at home": Soul Secret will play with the great band DGM in Napoli at Havana Club.

We're very happy and excited to announce these dates, and we hope to offer an amazing show to the crowd!

We are pleased to announce that we will perform on the 23rd August at Roccolo Park Festival in San giustino (Perugia) with such great bands as Vanden Plas and Macbeth. We are very enthusiastic to play there, and we hope to offer a great show to the crowd.

Finally we've also found a new amazing vocalist, who'll join us from now on in live experience: his name is Francesco "Franz" Sorriento.

I Soul Secret nascono nell'estate 2004 quando il chitarrista Antonio Vittozzi e il bassista Lucio Grilli decidono di unire le proprie passioni musicali suonando i capolavori dei Dream Theater. La ricerca degli elementi mancanti fu il compito più difficile: il primo nuovo membro fu il vocalist Antonio Barbati e successivamente Antonio Mocerino e il tastierista Giovanni di Giorgio si unirono al gruppo.....

Quasi immediatamente la voglia di arrangiare cover dei Dream Theater fu soppiantata dal desiderio di creare della musica propria e il primo risultato fu la home-made demo (registrata nel Luglio del 2005) Never Care About Tomorrow, che conteneva 2 brani: Inner War e Eternal Lights. Tutte le parti vocali furono registrate da Agostino Sorrentino, che nel frattempo aveva preso il posto di Barbati.....

Presto, questioni di lavoro costrinsero Agostino a lasciare la band e subito dopo i Soul Secret si separarono da Giovanni di Giorgio. Fu il periodo più difficile, anche se la ricerca andava avanti.....

Alla fine i due elementi mancanti si unirono alla band: Luca Di Gennaro (ex Paradoxa e Glory Revolution) alle tastiere e Michele Serpico (ex Kimera) alla voce. Era Marzo 2006.....

In questo modo i Soul Secret trovano finalmente la stabilità, che fino a quel momento era mancata.....

L'unione delle influenze musicali (che includono non solo Dream Theater, Pain Of Salvation, Pink Floyd, Vanden Plas, Liquid Tension Experiment, Symphony X, Spock's Beard, Tool ma anche Metallica, Megadeth, Mr. Big  e band hard rock e thrash metal) e una grande voglia di lavorare, portano alla realizzazione del primo album dei Soul Secret Flowing Portraits.....

Le registrazioni iniziano il 23 Aprile 2007 agli Orange Bug Studios a Napoli, con la preziosa collaborazione di Salvio Imparato . A causa di problemi di salute, Michele non riesce a prendere parte alle registrazioni, così tutte le voci sul disco sono registrate da MArk Basile (ex Mind Key, B.R.A.K.E)

Soul Secret project was born in the summer of 2004 when the guitarist Antonio Vittozzi and the bassist Lucio Grilli decided to join their musical tastes to create a metal band to play Dream Theater masterpieces. Searchin' the missing elements was the hardest task: the first new member was the singer Antonio Barbati, and then the drummer Antonio Mocerino and the keyboardist Giovanni Di Giorgio. ....

Almost immediatly, the will to arranging Dream Theater covers was supplanted by desire to create some own music, and the first result was the home-made demo (recorded in July 2005)  Never Care About Tomorrow, which contained two songs: Inner War and Eternal Lights. All the vocal parts of that demo was recorded by Agostino Sorrentino, that replaced Barbati on the voice. ....

Soon work reasons constrain Agostino Sorrentino to leave the band, and subsequently the band decides to part from Giovanni Di Giorgio. That was the most difficult period, even if the research continued. ....

At last, the two missing members joined the band: Luca Di Gennaro (ex Paradoxa and Glory Revolution as Antonio Vittozzi and Lucio Grilli) on piano and synth, and Michele Serpico (ex Kimera) on voice. It was March 2006.....

In this way the band has found stability: a very important thing always missing in those years.....

The union of musical influences (including not only Dream Theater, Pain Of Salvation, Pink Floyd, Vanden Plas, Liquid Tension Experiment, Symphony X, Spock's Beard, Tool but also Metallica, Megadeth, Mr. Big  and hard rock and thrash metal bands) and a great will to work, produce 6 songs that compose the first Soul Secret album Flowing Portraits.....

Recording sessions start on April 23th 2007 at Orange Bug studios in Naples, with the precious collaboration of Salvio Imparato. Because of health problems, Michele could not begin voice sessions, and vocal sections (lead & backing) have been recorded by MArk Basile.
