Kenny Martin is a keyboardist with over 16 years of experience on the Hammond B3 Organ. His roots are in the church where he skillfully honed his craft. Kenny has a heavy background in gospel music, both traditional and contemporary, which enfold R&B, Jazz, Blues & Funk influences. Although now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, his original musical grooming initiated in the San Francisco & Oakland bay area. There he has spent most of his life, yet his birthplace was a small town in northern California called Fairfield which is located just east of San Francisco. Kenny has been labeled as an anointed and passionate music minister by many, and considered to be an excellent improvisational keyboardist. He is recognized by the many vocalists he’s accompanied as a musician who really listens and adds to the song. He has served diligently in Music Ministry for over 15 years as Minister of Music, Music Director, Workshop Clinician, and serves humbly as a licensed minister of the Gospel. His love for music transcends time and generations yet remains constant with the flow and direction of God. His commitment to music is celebrated by his wife of 11 years and 2 beautiful daughters. Kenny's desire is to see lives changed and added to the kingdom of God. If he can provoke that change thru a calming melody or soothing instrumental flow, his heart is made glad. His sincere desire to please the Lord continues with great anticipation and fervor. Ordained with vision and purpose, Kenny Martin Jr. was created to worship.
A Personal Note:
Soul worshiper describes me to the bone. I say this because life has been a great teacher; and what it has taught me is to give myself completely in everything that I do. If there is going to be any time put into what my hands mind and heart try, i've got to give it my heart and soul. It remains useless and worthless if there is no soul tie connected to the activity. I love music and I love to play it. However, at this juncture & season in my life I've notice and realized the difference between performance and real worship ministry. Both may sound good and draw a response from people, but only one gets the attention of the Father. When I'm at my best in music, someone (possibly even myself) might have an emotional experience and feel a warm or chilled feeling come over them, and it might possibly cause them to ponder a decision and make a turn for the good. The soulful sound of the worshiper will however cause a supernatural occurrence from the hand of Jehovah to totally transform that person's life and bring complete peace and pure love. These are the results that speak for themselves. When the listener can leave the musical experience with a renewed, rejuvenated, relaxed, and revived life, then the longevity that men pay millions for will come.
