Reincarnated from the Art/Entertainment World and returning as a Sound Designer. Very interesting sound structures there - don't worry about mixing on headphones, have you ever tried swapping stereo channels (my DVD player and my laptop switch the right and left channels for same discs, changes the music played in very subtle but interesting ways, sometimes you hear sounds/instruments not detected before!).
