We are a friendly, professional recording studio based in Shefford, Bedfordshire (central to Bedford / Luton / Hitchin / Biggleswade / Stevenage) run by musicians, for musicians. We also offer great rehearsal facilities for bands.

We offer packages for everyone - from young and new bands starting out to full recording sessions for Bands, solo musicians and DJ's.

RECORDING AT SOUNDARC

SoundARC's recording studio is PC - based and can handle in excess of 200 tracks (we don't know how many for sure as we haven't hit the limit yet!). Our recordings are all characterised by the warm analogue sound of our Soundcraft Series 1600 Producer desk, which we feel helps create a much richer sounding recording than the modern digital desk.

The majority of sound processing is performed within the PC, allowing us to dedicate our rack space to a choice selection of outboard gear (valve preamps, compressors, multi-effects processors, reverb units etc) We use Steinberg's Nuendo 3 for our main recording duties and Wavelab 5 for mastering & CD creation.

At SoundARC, we have the skills and facilities to write, record, program, mix, remix and master anything from personal projects to commercial briefs - from the dirty demo to the polished production album! We also have a bank of over 40,000 samples to help inspire you with your creations and embellish your recordings as well as a wealth of session musicians to help add that extra something to your tracks.

SoundARC can be booked, with engineer, by the hour, day or week and Studio Gift Experiences are available upon request.

LIVE DEMO BAND RECORDING

Does exactly what it says on the tin - you set up in the live room as you would a rehearsal, we mic everything up and hit record! Typically you can expect to put down 3 to 4 tracks in the three hours allocated, then we use the final hour to mix and burn CDs for everyone. This is a no-frills (yet still high quality), cost effective way of making a demo and perfect for capturing a band's raw sound.

Also available is our record a rehearsal option, available as a £12 add-on to the cost of a rehearsal.

NEW! THE SOUNDARC FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE EXPERIENCE!

The all new Friday Night Live recording sessions are built on the foundations of our reputable live demos (where all musicians set up in our live room, we mic everything up and hit record) - the difference being we record the vocals separate to the music, for added clarity and definition. This is a great mid-range recording option that has a little more finesse than our live demos, yet is still great value for money! Typically you can expect to lay 4 or 5 tracks in the allotted time and everyone leaves with a CD at the end of the session... splendid!
