The focus of my practice is the tension that exists between visuality and aurality within sound and visual art. While sound art is becoming a medium on its own right that embodies the vaporous and temporal nature that is associated with sound, it cannot escape the materiality of the objects needed to capture, produce and exhibit audio work. The use of space, duration, location and perception are integral to my working methodology as sound exists within parameters that are continually in flux.

see, in school we were the loners; the rebels. but now we're just analog kids in a digital world, lost and confused. myspace 'acceptance' gives us the appropriate digital 'pep' to keep going on.
SUNKEN.- 'Eye Electric Organ, Brain Electric Nerve'. Deep in the swirling depths of the ocean a terrible yet wondrous beast stirs slow but sure amidst great forests of sea algae. Taking on the form of a pair of conjoined drown-ed sailors it sets forth upon the currents determined to loose its apocalyptic vision upon the earth via droning sea shanty and great humming hymn. Sunken is the duo of sunken sailors Stefan Neville (Pumice) and Antony Milton (Nether Dawn/A.M etc). Using a range of organs, sonar gear, live tapeloops, vocals and an unhealthy amount of submarine reverb they create a glorious droning pop noise. 'Eye Electric Organ, Brain Electric Nerve' follows on from their acclaimed self titled debut (also on PseudoArcana) and various compilation appearances. You can hear a sample from the album here. CD. NZ$20 (post incl) Visit www.pseudoarcana.com for details.
A Future Without presents: Throwing Snow, Footnotes Part 1 EP
5 tracks of organic sounding, broken beat driven electronic bliss.
Throwing Snow has been compared to the likes of Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Four tet, Xploding Plastix and Quantic.
Jon Kennedy (Tru Thoughts/Grand Central) - 'SUPERB TUNES'
DJ m.path.iq (D:Bug Mag) - 'What I can say is that I don't get unique music like that every day. Throwing Snow has got my full support. Love Listless, Glitter Clatter and the musicality in each digital detail. Ambient vs. Breakbeat vs. World Music vs. Folk vs. Simply Good Taste.'
