Bio
Sound Asleep has just released the brand new CD by the great band Dropkick from Glasgow, Scotland. The CD is called "Abelay Hotel". Dropkick..s music is a perfect mix of great harmonies and wonderful melodies. Think a mix of The Jayhawks, Teenage Fanclub and Wilco. This is the second Dropkick CD that Sound Asleep Records has released in one year. This summer we released a pop compilation called "Souvenirs-Little Gems Of Pop". It contains great North American pop from 1975-95. Sound Asleep Records was founded by Jerker Emanuelson in 1994 to release some of his favorite American music. The first release was the compilation Hit The Hay which got rave reviews everywhere and this led to another Hit The Hay, Vol. 2 of course, and to date, 7 volumes have been released in this series that compiles the best in American pop and roots rock. Other notable releases include the Bill Lloyd CDEP "Confidence Is High + 4", the debut CD by Robert Crenshaw called "Full Length Stereo Recordings", the Tim Carroll debut CDEP "Good Rock From Bad", and the three volumes in the Home Runs series, put together with Jerker..s friend Christer Strömberg, that compiles great and mostly obscure North American pop from 1975-85. The compilation "Between Goodlettsville And Murfreesboro" contains previously unreleased songs by some of Jerker..s favorite Nashville artists. In the spring of 2008, the label..s first Swedish release saw the light of day. It was the new CD called "Ground Floor Man" by excellent popband The Mop Tops that was released. .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... .......... ...... ..Myspace Editor.... ..Pimp MySpace.. .... -
