Sounddogs.com was started in August 1996, and went commercially online in May 1997, it was the first online commercial sound effects and music library long before the Apple iTunes music store. We pride ourselves on having a vast easily accessible sound library and travel all over the world recording sounds in order to meet all of your strangest sonic requests.

Sounddogs' recent clients include Editors behind the films All The Kings Men, Invincible, Grid Iron Gang, You Me and Dupree, The Guardian, Fly Boys, The Dukes of Hazzard, Sin City, Lava Boy and Shark Girl, The Shaggy D.A., Glory Road, An Unfinished Life, The Nomad, Dead or Alive, Voice of Flicka, Cheon Yeong, First Born, North Country and Dreamer.

Located in sunny Santa Monica, California, Sounddogs.com is the world's first (May 1997) and largest (320,000 files) online source for sound effects, production music and samples and loops. In November 2004, Sounddogs acquired the immense sound effects library of SoundStorm, Inc., seven-time nominee and winner of an Academy Award for Best Sound Editing.
