Unfinished Symphony's Interests
|
| General | Composing, Music, Piano, Theater, Movies, Nature, Intelligence, Fine Fining, Cooking, Friends, Outdoors, and I'm open to pretty much anything else. In fact... why do people even ask this question? Everyone always likes the same basic stuff. Eat, sleep, party, chill... right? | | Music | Honestly, I'm open to *every* form of music. I can pretty much appreciate anything that I hear. No, wait, scratch that... I can appreciate *good* music from any genre. | | Movies | Finding Neverland, I <3 Huckabees, Threesome, Princess Bride, Ghost, Best In Show, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Dead Poets Society | | Television | I only watch T-vo, and usually I only watch random things like South Park or Drawn Together. | | Books | Learning to Read, k-3 level. | | Heroes | I don't really idolize people. I really appreciate maturity and intelligence, though... especially when they don't overshadow a person's sense of youth and humor. The ability to have respect and courtesy for others (including those you don't know and those you don't like) is impressive to me. |

Who I'd like to meet:
Where to start...
Where to start? Most would say the beginning, but I don't think that's always the appropriate choice. My name is Greg, or Gregory, whichever you prefer. People usually sound comfortable saying one and awkward saying the other, so figure out which is which and stick with that. I am a professional musician, with an emphasis in piano performance and composition. I'm also in a rock band called The Anix, and for now that takes up the majority of my time, as we're touring the country. I am eccentric but well-liked, and am often referred to by nicknames like "Beethoven" or "Mozart." I pretend it annoys me, but I secretly enjoy it. Well... not very secretly anymore, I suppose. I am addicted to games of all sorts, whether it be video, board, puzzle or mind. I have an incredibly eclectic group of friends, and tend to avoid people who define themselves as "normal," as they are either boring or violently insane. I think too much and over-analyze everything, which often results in me getting very little sleep. I use humor to cope with almost every situation, whether or not it's funny. I hold people accountable for their actions, and will be up front and vocal about said actions. For example, if a girl comes crying to me because her boyfriend cheated on her, when in the past he's done the same several times, I will tell her she's an idiot, that she deserves everything he does to her, and to go complain to someone else. A lot of people define me as an asshole for this reason, but that doesn't seem to bother me. The world needs people like me to function, and most are too afraid of being hated to fill the position. We all have a sob story, it's our actions afterward that define who we are. I love animals more than most and usually lose my oh-so-suave demeanor when I'm around them. In fact, I become a squeally little girl, and people who were unaware before figure out that I'm gay. Oh yeah... I'm gay. People say I don't act "gay", but all that means to me is that those people don't know very much about the gay world. I don't care if people are "straight-acting" or "gay-acting" so long as they're being honest with themselves. I can talk and/or type for hours without struggling to find more words. I think people who have been alive for 20-some years and find it difficult to talk about themselves for more than 5 minutes must have wasted a lot of their life. I am much more silly in person than I am in print. I am easily annoyed by: people who enjoy creating drama; people who ask stupid questions when they're perfectly capable of finding the answer because they're too lazy to think for themselves; people who think violence is a valid form of solving problems; people who use religion to attack and judge others; people who are obsessed with social opinions and define themselves accordingly; people who love America, the military, and the Bible, but refuse to admit that they are in complete contradiction to each other; people who abuse governmental privileges or achieve success in any form by causing pain to others... actually, now that I think about it, this list could go on for miles. I guess I'm easily irritated, huh? Well, it doesn't show for the most part. Okay, I'm tired of speaking about myself... the truth is, anything anyone says about themselves is extremely bias. We describe ourselves how we want the world to perceive us as opposed to what we actually are. If you would like to get to know me (and after an introduction like this, I'm not sure why you would), write me a letter, or approach me in person some day. I love talking to strangers.

Would that I could claim it as my own quote, but sadly I cannot. I am in love with Chekhov. (if you didn't know that already)
