Best Songs of 2009!

There were an abundance of super amazing jams floating around in 2009, so it wasn't easy to pick our faves. Still, these are the 10 songs that had the office dancing, crying, and laughing all year long. Yes, we too were vulnerable to the powers of Lady Gaga, but ultimately it was the hipster singalong "Whooo!" in Animal Collective's "My Girls" that managed to bring us all together. Not only did the song manage to spawn a ton of great remixes and one the weirdest videos of the year (see below), but it managed to finally elevate the status of Animal Collective from popular weirdo band to something resembling genuine rock stardom. Seeing tons of kids jumping up and down at the band's set during the ATP Festival this year and waving glow sticks in the air when the band launched into this particular tune was one of the high points of the year and basically sealed the deal. Animal Collective were killing it in 2009 and "My Girls" is officially our jam.
