Settembre è un mese particolare: il caldo lentamente si placa, l’autunno si avvicina e anche se le vacanze volgono purtroppo al termine si ha un po’ la voglia e l’entusiasmo di ricominciare, scuola o lavoro che sia. Quest’anno la tredicesima edizione del Soundlabs Festival sarà insolitamente settembrina, ma le nostre intenzioni sono sempre le stesse: organizzare un Festival in grado di attirare gente da varie realtà e città e di proporre un programma al pari delle manifestazioni internazionali più note. Lo scorso anno abbiamo ospitato nomi di rilievo della scena musicale nazionale e internazionale che hanno fatto del Soundlabs uno degli eventi più interessanti dell’intera penisola. Anche quest’anno, seppur tra le mille difficoltà, daremo vita ad una parentesi di livello qualitativo altissimo in un angolo d’Abruzzo tutt’altro che ricettivo e attento a questo tipo di eventi. Sul nostro palco vedrete alternarsi l’atmosfera caliginosa degli scozzesi GLASVEGAS*, la delicatezza impalpabile di JOSE' GONZALEZ*, la freschezza britannica di THE WAVE PICTURES*, la follia ritmica del pop del duo svedese WILDBIRDS & PEACEDRUMS*, il rock narrativo-fotografico dei MASSIMO VOLUME, la ricerca rumorosa dei catanesi UZEDA, la schizofrenia geometrica degli ZU, la purezza sconcertante di DENTE, l'animalita' dei COMETA FEVER. Un programma imperdibile per rendere memorabili e spensierati gli ultimi giorni di calura estiva e per meravigliarsi di quanto sia bello essere al Soundlabs. Complici la buona musica, il cibo delizioso, il vino inebriante, il vento fresco fra i capelli e il mare a due passi anche quest’anno quella che si respirerà a Roseto degli Abruzzi nei giorni del Festival sarà un’atmosfera divertente e allo stesso tempo rilassante. Dal 3 al 6 settembre le serate sulla costa abruzzese avranno un motivo in più per essere vissute pienamente, con un bicchiere in mano, gli occhi puntati sul palco e le orecchie coccolate dalla buona musica. Meno male c’è il Soundlabs. Anche quest’anno.






September is a special month. The heat is finally starting to fade, autumn is approaching, and even as vacation is coming to an end, there’s this irresistible urge to start summer all over again—school and work can wait. So, while it may be untraditional to hold the 13th Soundlabs Festival in September, our intentions remain the same: to stage an event that will attract people of diverse origins and interests by assembling an impressive musical program on par with the most important festivals worldwide. Last year, we brought together some of the most influential bands touring the international music scene, making Soundlabs one of the most important musical events of Summer 2008. We intend to do the same thing this year—despite all the challenges inherent in bringing an event of this caliber to our little corner of Abruzzo, where there is almost no public support for cultural activities of this kind. This year, Soundlabs Festival brings you the nebulous new wave of the Scottish band Glasvegas, the delicate beauty of José González, the swagger and charm of the British band The Wave Pictures, the rhythmic folly of the Swedish pop duo Wildbirds & Peacedrums, the narrative-photographic rock of Massimo Volume, the noise experiments of the Sicilian Uzeda, the schizophrenic geometries of Zu, the disconcerting purity of Dente, and the primitivism of Cometa Fever. This extraordinary lineup is not to be missed, and promises to make the last few days of summer unforgettable and carefree, filled with amazing music, delicious food, great wines, fresh breezes, and the sparkling waters of the Adriatic just a few steps away. Between September 3-6, Soundlabs offers one last chance—before summer is gone for good—to live life to the fullest, with glass in hand, eyes on the stage, surrounded by some of the most innovative and diverse musical talents emerging today. At least we have Soundlabs…again this year. ....
